Fit or S0ul

I actually test drove both of them, along with the hundyi elantra touring. I drove the soul + MT first and thought it was a decent car. Then I test drove a MT fit, and never went back to the kia dealership. Even though the soul had some awesome features, it felt very cheap. In addition to this, the transmission felt like total garbage. The shifting on the fit was so much better. As for the elantra, I just felt like an old man driving that thing, though it did have amazing cargo room.

xB
Have you looked at xB?
I have a 08 Fit and my wife has a '10 xB with the auto trans. I love her xB. Roomy, smooth and all the goodies for about 18k. I would be very tempted to get a second one with a 5 spd in a few years to replace the fit. It is not as fun to drive as my fit, but it is probably a better choice for the 50,000 miles of highway driving I drive per year.

i meann if u on the highway does it have that juice to go faster and pass the car next to you to switch lanes?

Yes it does have juice and that is up to the driver. I do not have problems passing other cars while on highways. But if you're racing, you forget about it unless you have a K20 swapped.

That's what I would describe the Elantra hehe. Although the Elantra gets descent gas mileage and has comfortable seats, that car is not fun to drive. It handles like a boat.

it was very comfortable, and price point wise you could get more features than the fit. The one i was looking at had a moon roof and heated seats.

Hmm i looked at the souls and the cube for the GF. The soul seem cheaply made and the Cube just seemed like it was big from the out side but did not have alot of cargo room. I love the idea of them and the look but was feeling it was a overall bad buy. But i think the Fit is the better buy over all i would love to get one for my GF as a DD. Right now she is using my previa and i am driveing the CR. Till we find a nice car which im trying to find a nice fit for her

I also test drove both cars and ended up with the Fit. I test drove a manual Soul ! (exclaim I think it's called). Despite having a much larger engine (2.0l) the Soul felt pretty gutless, when trying to pass on the freeway in 5th gear. I think the gearing of the transmission might be a bit taller?
The Soul did have some really cool features, like integrated bluetooth, speaker lights, subwoofer, sunroof, HUGE 18" rims. But it also stickered for about $2K more. Overall I'm glad I went with the Fit but it was worth test driving the Soul just to check it out.
