What don't you like about your Fit?
Howdy!
I'm thinking about getting a Fit, and I'm wondering what you guys don't like so far about your fit. A lot of times its easy to test drive a car or hear from other people about a great that all is well, and there are things that you don't notice until you really own the car, then they start to bug you. Lemme know!

I'm tall (6'4") and my legs have zero thigh support. I didn't think this would be a problem, until I sat in traffic for over an hour. To remedy the problem, I just roll up a hand towel and stuff it under my thighs while I'm driving.
So far, that's the only thing that I don't like that I couldn't determine from a short test drive. I'm really very happy with the car.

I just got mine yesterday and though the seats feel okay when you sit in the car when it's in the showoom, I find it difficult to find a comfortable position for actual driving without getting a sore lower back. I don't usually have problems with seats and it might be that it just takes some getting used to... I hope so, anyway.
I don't like the non locking gas filler door and also there is no button to pop the hatch from the driver's seat area.

I have few but existent complaints
1) no 6th gear.
2) no console/arm rest
3) no lever based gas tank lid (desperate ppl may siphon my poor 10 gal tank)
a lot of ppl complain about no temperature, but i don't mind. i drove my second hand civic for many years, and i never had a heat problem so i never really had to look at it.

I love my Fit as well, but there are a few things that I wish I had or would like to change, but still would not change my mind about getting a Fit.
1. A/C needs to be stronger. The 28 degrees Celsius days we've been having is killer when in traffic...A/C doesn't quite keep you as cool as you would like if the sun is on ya.
2. Taffeta White. Dammit why do us Canadians get shafted and get the silver instead of the white?!?!?
3. Sunroof. Not really necessary, but would be nice to have.
4. Dead Pedal. Wouldn't mind one of these from the factory.
Other than those few minor things, everything else is fine and dandy. No problems.

So far there is honestly nothing at all that I "don't like" about the Fit. It handles well in all conditions, all the features are what you'd expect from a $15k vehicle, mileage is as promised (for once), outlet and mp3 input are conveniently in the same place, stereo is wonderful for a little vehicle...
As far as things that would be nice to have - center arm rest is the only thing, and that can be bought online somewhere apparently. But that doesn't even bother me enough to buy one.

Excellent. Thanks for the input so far folks!
Yeah i noticed the lack of a deadpedal, that would probably bother me on long trips, since im a cruise control fiend.
I've already looked into the center armrest as well
Anyone have an thunks or rattling or weird sounds?

Only 2 complaints I consider major:
1. Small gas tank. I'm now getting about 33 mpg, but I have a long commute. I'd like to drive past the gas stations and not always have to watch to see who has the cheapest price -- not having to stop at the pump should be a big advantage to an econocar, but I stop as often as I did when I drove my old Accord (about every 3 days).
2. I was also disappointed that I can't really put the back seat all the way down behind the driver's seat. I'd have to move the driver's seat too far forward to actually be able to sit in it and drive.
The Fit is very comfortable for me (I'm only 5' 3"), but my car pooler is a big guy and he was surprised to have enough leg and head room. Love driving this car! It handles beautifully, has a roomy interior and it's very easy to load the hatch (which apparently is a problem with some of the Fit's competitors).

Saw a comment about the a/c not being cool enough. I have a Fit Sport AT and it is very cool, despite the black interior. We're having 90+ days, my Fit sits in the parking lot and heats up all day, but cools down rapidly. I do not have to blast the a/c like I did in my old Accord. If anyone is having a/c problems, I'd have it checked. It can't get much hotter and humid than it does in Florida and my Fit could give me the chills if I cranked up the a/c even half way.

For those requesting the hatch release, the PL unlocks the hatch so that you can then open it. Is that what you mean? I know it doesn't pop like the old Civic hatchbacks but it is openable.
I don't really have any complaints but here's a couple things that could be different:
Fabric material, color, whatevers...the black fabric really picks up lint & dog hair.
It's tall which is good, but has anyone else noticed that if you try to use the visors on the side they don't really block out the sun for us shortys. Oh and a mirror on the passenger side visor.
I'm still trying to find a comfortable clutch-gas pedal position. I guess another problem being short.
Coin tray would be nice, arm rest would be nice too but those can be had.
The sport stereo on the base model or at least the AUX input (would it really be so expensive to just include that, c'mon Honda!)

The low beam headlights don't shine far enough ahead, but I only notice it on streets without street lamps. I think I can get this adjusted though.
My black seats are a lint magnet.
I wish the front passenger window had auto-down, and both front windows had auto-up. (But I'm lazy).
I guess that's it.
Except for these tiny things (which can probably be remedied with a visit to the dealer and a Dustbuster), I LOVE the car though. It's so much fun to drive. I love the way the instrument panel/dash lights look. It's so easy to parallel park in the city. Sorry, I could go on and on...
