Certified used question regarding maintenance schedules
I'm about to run my '07 in for some winter maintenance and have a question...
I bought mine last fall as a Honda certified used car. Does this mean it had a full service, including ALL fluids and lubricants, regardless of the existing maintenance schedule? If they did - hooray. If not, I need to get the brake fluid and the manual trans lube changed, in addition to the coolant and whatnot. I can't find any actual documentation as to what was done to the car as part of that certification.
Any help?

certified used only means that it is under warranty and that the dealer or whoever did the basic maintenance. it can be a demo-car or some car salesman used it as his dailydriver, or it came from a short-term lease.
look at your service maintenance book and just follow what it says. no need to do more.

This is the one thing I miss from my Ford dealership experience. They gave me a print out of what they checked, if the fluids were replaced or topped off, even if they put air in my tires and I knew exactly what they had done on the car. With Honda the paper they give you shows nothing!

cat- that's more about your lacking Honda dealer, not Honda in general. my local dealer shows an entire check list of stuff they did and any customer specific check points that were requested.
not that i really go to the dealer often.

Well, I'm just going to have my garage test the fluids and trans lubricant. The dealership I bought the car from said it's not required that they replace all of the fluids and lubricants prior to sale as a certified used car, although they do if it's needed. They have no record of my car though...
