Last 09 on the lot
Actually it is the only Fit on the lot. 09 Sport, m5, w/navi, floor mats, and locking nuts. 17,000 + taxes and doc fees. Total 18,192. I think I can beat them down to 18k out the door. Thoughts?
I will probably let them know one way or the other tomorrow.
Tomorrow I'll let you know my thoughts on the car after test driving it today.

Well I did end up buying the car for the wifey. The otd price was 18 flat which put the car at about 16,810. After putting 4k down and paying all the taxes and fees I ended up financing 13k @ 2.9 %.
The m5 w/navi is a rare combo and not offered for the 10 model year.
The car has 200 miles on it right now. I put the last 10 or so on it myself. We will be picking it up on Sat morn and the wife does not know yet.
My driving impressions, so far anyway. Mind you I was driving the wife's 99 Civic hatch 5 speed when I went to the Honda dealer. We picked up the Civic a couple years ago so we could park the new truck I bought for her to tow her horses as it was just sucking too much gas. Anyway to the Civic, after bringing it home I ripped out the interior and put insulation everywhere and changed the 4 speakers for Pioneer units while keeping the stock radio.
Otherwise totally stock.
Noise level- old Civic is much quieter. Less engine and road noise. I'm sure some of this is due to the higher performance tires on the Fit. As well at all the insulation I put in the Civic.
Stereo-old Civic sounds better too my ears. I tend to like more mid and upper ranges and the stock speakers in the Fit sounded muted to me.
Ride quality-Fit was much firmer during the test drive and you could sense that it would be a bit more tossable. The Civic was a softer, more compliant ride
Power-Toss up. Old Civic seemed to have a little more mid range. I'm hoping the Fit has a better top end charge.
So you may ask why would I replace the old car? Our Subie is a 2000 model year, the Civic is a 99 model year. Subie 158k miles on it, Civic 188k miles on it. Both run great, but I do not want to replace both of them in 5 years. One at a time. Plus our son get the Civic as it will haul him and his wife plus their pit and dobie.. He'll probably tune it to be a hyper miler.
In the end the Fit will be a much more versatile car for what we want to do. I do not feel like I am falling into it or climbing out like I did with the Civic. Add to that the built in navi which we will use a lot, cruise, and steering wheel controls and it's good for me.
I think she will be thrilled once she gets past the car payment part.
It was actually more beneficial to leave the money in the high interest checking account than paying cash because of the 2.9 financing. That she will understand.

You should take pictures or video to capture her reaction when you tell her and when she see the Fit.

Picked it up today. She was a bit teary while at the dealer. She really did not want to get a new car, but then she fell in love with it. She also asked if it was a stick, which it is. Big smile with that one. She was showing it off to other family members when we got home.
We both thought it felt a bit more zippy than the old one. A little extra seat time changed my initial impression. I now need to get the 10 lb owners manual out and do some reading.
Our son and daughter in law are thrilled to get the old Civic hatch. Still runs great with working a/c and heat.
All in all a great Christmas.

We drove ours all over the midwest in the last few days--1,400 miles of good mid-West winter driving. The sport manual with navi is the rarest of the Fits. It's a good combination of fun-to-drive, modern safety equipment, and a pretty good navi that is extremely well integrated into the car. You'll be grinning at the gas pump, too.
Congratulations. We've driven ours through Pennsylvania twice this year. You'll love yours.
