Ok, I tried via costco auto for the Honda Fit and got the following:

The vehicle you have selected does not currently feature Costco pricing.

So how did you manage to get costco pricing on a Honda Fit?

I got that too and before that no "HONDA" as an option. the third time I went to look itlet me in and sent my request to a dealer. They never contacted me but when I called them they gave me a price and availability (on the next allocation--June).
I suspect it depends on the region/zip. Maybe call around to dealers to ask if they are Costco dealers?

I got my Blaze Orange MT Fit for $16,220.50, not including the taxes which I won't pay until I go pick up my tags. That doesn't include some extras, like extended warranty, protection package, tinting and floor mats.

I'm wondering how steep those taxes will be; is it the standard state sales tax that you pay? In which case I figure about $1,100 to 1,200 more. Yikes!

Depends on the state. Some states charge less than the standard sales tax on cars.

This is all mind-boggling...and I just keep thinking...I'm waiting several months before I can even deal? Will there be any left by then?

BTW crimsona...thanks for putting up the Canadian numbers. I was going to pay the money to carcostcanada, but didn't want to until closer to purchase time. Is nice of you to share. :-)

Is this Sport M/T? or A/T?

hey Crimsona: i paid msrp for my fit LX model at $19,600.
also does the base DX come with power windows and doorlocks...because that was why i opted for the LX model. So can clarify the difference between DX and LX model( canadian models)
thankx

$17,233 Fit Sport M/T including tax and licence - the out the door price in California.

MSRP 15,170 + destination 595 + tax, licence and misc. fees = $17,233 and I waited 8 days to get my car. I am very pleased with how this transaction took place.
