Dealership parts prices
Just stopped by my local dealer to get some touch-up paint for our Fit. That was $8.80 for the half-ounce bottle, and our car is not gold in color!
Behind the counter was a display of genuine Honda fluids and such. Now, in over thirty years of car ownership, I've never once considered buying motor oil from a car dealership, but after seeing Bernardi Honda's online price for oil ($2.70/qt.) I figured I'd ask my local guy. It was $8.45/qt.! I laughed, and the young parts clerk just sort of gave me a wry smile, as if to say, yeah, it's outrageous.
As most of you know, you can get Mobil1 for about $4.50/qt. at Walmart by purchasing a 5-quart jug. Heck, I recently purchased some Total Quartz Ineo MC3 for my Jetta GLI for $6.35/liter from a small import shop in town. That's a top-shelf European PAO oil that meets all sorts of stringent specs and carries lots of high-brow approvals.
Just thought I'd get that rant out of my system.

thanks for visiting the dealership first time in over 30yrs.
jk yes, dealer prices are high. for your touchup paint you can source them from several locations... but considering the shipping and inconvenience i recommend just buying it locally.

Forget going to the dealer for touch-up paint. It never matches anyway! I bought Ocean Mist Metallic touch-up paint from the dealer for my 2006 Odyssey. Looks like I have spots all over. I then got some touch-up paint from paintscratch.com and it matches perfectly. It costs more, but it matches!

I touched up my Taffy and now can't remember where it was. Was that a right or left rocker panel? So it matched for me.
I have also picked up a rattle can of Taffy white from Canadain Tire store to paint a GD model.
