*cough* Oh the understeer. Given that the video makes the Fit look like a Ferrari catching up a Super Aguri, I assume the other cars were either pootling about or were being driven by my granny.

well its kinda funny cause every1 says that all the other cars are just messing around. why would the guy in the Fit be driving his @$$ off while every1 else just "pootling" around?

it pass the other cars in a pretty straight part of the track and done it easily, so yea, it's kinda puzzling.

I catch Z06 corvettes in my I/H/E equipped Integra LS....which makes a whopping 140hp vs 406 hp ( or some shit)

could never do that in a straight up drag race

Looks like they're all just doing their own thing, i.e. paid track time. My simple guess since I saw no track marshals or flag attendants.

Most of Suzuka is uphill. The more difficult part of the course (the esses) are uphill. And there are three relatively long straights which overtaking occurs. I can see the Fit maybe catch up with late braking but I don't see them passing the other cars especially against the other high powered cars I saw on the track. The other cars are also not running the nominal lines for Suzuka. So either they feel the power and fury of the Fit or... they don't want to get in his way for his hot lap. I believe its the latter.

I agree with you that power doesn't mean anything if you can't drive but something tells me that these other guys aren't running their best. It's probably a warm up laps for the other cars. Other wise, I can't see the Fit overtake so easily.

Regardless of how or why the other drivers are letting the Fit pass them I was watching how it got around the corners. Seems there is a bit of sport
in the Fit chassis.
