VTEC engagement

VTEC engagement

Is it me or you guys don't hear the vtec engagement on the L15A.

I hear it when I am accelerating quickly, but at normal acceleration I cannot hear it.

^ thats because vtec engages on throttle response. if you lightly accelerate, it won't engage. floor the pedal and you will hear a difference.

You can hear VTEC engage at 3400 RPMs under light throttle, just roll down the windows and kill the radio as you listen for it. 3400 RPMs is when VTEC will engage no matter what for the GD3s and if under a heavy load it will enage as low as 2800 RPMs.*

* Do a search for "VTEC light" if you don't believe me.

Floor it, and you will feel it kick in around 3400rpms.
