So is the Fit your daily driver or other?
I'm considering purchasing a Fit (if I can ever find one) as a daily driver. For those of you on this board is this your primary/only car or are you going to be using it as your commuter/second car?
I'm also torn between the base model and the sport. Is the additional $$$ worth it if I'm going to switch the wheels and suspension almost immediately?

This is now my daily driver.
I am guessing your talking M/T so if you don't need cruise, remote entry, fog lights, the more powerful stereo, etc. I would go for the base fit. suspension and power are the same.

It's my only car, so it's definitely my daily driver.
I don't hit highways at all on my way to and from work, so it's nothing but stoplights in a manual transmission. Not so bad once you get used to it.
The value of the Sport only depends on whether you feel you need any of those extra accessories. The engine is the same in both models. Some of it (fog lamps, remote entry) you can install later using Honda-branded kits.

Yup, my daily commuter that replaced a 2002 Impala. My wife and kids get the Odyssey.
I opted for the sport mainly because of the mp3 player jack, which I love during my commute.
One unexpected benefit is that it's also become our family car. When we bought the fit we expected that we'd still take the van to the grandparent's house, the mall or other places like that but we're now using the Fit for that sort of stuff. Our gas savings alone will be around $100/month compared to keeping the Impala and using the Odyssey for getting around.

I will be alternating my 94 Corolla and the Fit as my daily driver depending if I'm going straight home or out after work. If I kept the Fit fully stock I would drive it everyday, but that's not gonna happen. It's another Honda for me and being a gear head, will not stay unmodified for very long.

it will be my daily driver. I think the sport is worth it, the stereo the AUX jack, fogs and body kit make it not so bland. I will be keeping this car for a long time so why not get something i really like.
I have a 87 RX7 turbo II as my fun 94 octane gas guzzling fun.

My wife and kids also get the van, although I probably do more kid hauling so I need to fit 3 boys (6,8 and 10). Fortunately the 10 year old is big enough to sit in the front seat.

Such is the life of getting a job in downtown Vancouver. $6/day parking + ~$4.30/gallon gas + rush hour traffic = no thanks.

If the Fit was my weekend car, it would be a dedicated track car.
