Ouch! Maybe you can paint/tape the underside with some black so it isn't as noticeable My bf used to have to make 3-step turns to just get into his driveway, it was steep AND narrow. :/

ouch
Sorry to see that happen. Looks like you'll have to be more careful when going over dips and up driveways. If you're cautious enough, you can go over just about anything. My bumper sits about 2" off the ground and I hardly ever scrape anything...but that's because I'm faranoid as puck going up ramps/over dips

I see a lot of vehicles get that same kind of damage on slightly sloped angled parking spots, where they bash into the curb. It's not just the Fit. And there is also the weight factor. If you drive in, park, and it's OK, that's one thing. But then you add in three-four friends, and the front end is now on the curb, and backing out means SCRAAAAAPE...
Those curb feelers, those could be useful. It's all part of becoming accustomed and aware of your NEW vehicle and what it can/can't do. Speed bumps, curbs, slopes, driveways, angles, etc.
I can SEE where cars bottom out or scrape on local roadways. The black areas after dips or bumps or scrapes on curbs. Pay attention to that. Slow down. It takes awhile to become accustomed to the exact dimensions of a different vehicle.

Four skinnies is still 400 pounds at least. Or could be as young as a 10-12 year old boy...

That's a percentile form for weight and height for boys age 2-20.
Plus a driver. That's at least 500 pounds, and that WILL make a difference on clearing curbs, when the car's bumper is parked right over a curb.
Now, even if it's all girls, and they are all skinny, if they have fully equipped mothership handbags, that could push weight up to nearly 600 pounds.

I scrape every damn day going out of my driveway and over every speed bump. My entire front end scrapes under hard braking . I am taking the car to my local shop to get new tires so I am going to tell them to raise it 1" or so in the front.

I have a STOCK BASE, and I still scraped the black plastic thing under the front bumper, when leaving a parking lot. There was a dip, it went down for leaving the lot, and right back up for the street. It's only like that on one side of the lot. I didn't expect it, and I certainly didn't race out of the lot.
That was yet another reason I chose the base model, I didn't want to scrape. I figured I'd be fairly safe, but it's still much lower than my old VW was.
It kind of defeats the purpose to try to make a car look better when making it look better means that the car will suffer damage and damaged cars do not look better.
Damaged cars don't hold their value either. Bondo and scrapes and cracks diminish value.
Lowering a car is fine if you live in an area where it's flat, smooth, and predictable. Like you always go to the same places, and KNOW the road won't thrash your car. But it only takes one time to damage the front, as shown in this post.
And I've only scraped once too. But I'm extra cautious now, and I kind of resent it. It's a STOCK BASE. I shouldn't have to worry about ground clearance leaving a parking lot (that worked just fine in the former car).
The car (any car) becomes much less useful if it creates a burden for the driver.

The pieces of lumber idea is fine, but is a little tacky, something like this idea would work and you wouldn't have to worry about offending the neighbors.

My previous car was an '02 Neon, and that car scrapped almost everywhere. Maybe that's conditioned me to be extra careful with the Fit, but I haven't scrapped the nose yet. I am very cautious pulling out of driveways and side streets and "angle" the car over dips, since the corners have less overhang. Still, I know that it's just a matter of time until it happens to me, too.
