Shifting to 2nd not super smooth?

When I shift into 2nd, it doesn't feel smooth.
It is almost as if it goes around a metal nub on the left side? hard to explain...it's not a clean shift though.

Anyone feel anything like this?

When I shift at high rpms it is smooth, but here or there it seems a bit odd when shifting in lower rpms sometimes...

This is what i figured out (btw i made a thread a while ago on two things: how to launch, and 1-->2 shift).

I answered my question myself. Anyway sine the4 gear ratios of 1-2 is most drastic of all 5 gears, it means either a) you have to wait longer for the needle to drop RPMs before releasing the clutch or b) release the clutch more gradually than you would in other transitions (2->3, 3-->4, and 4->5).

No, what I think he means is that when he shifts from 1->2 it feels like the shifter catches or rubs on something as you're shifting. I feel it too, almost like a slight grind as if the clutch isn't all the way in as the shifter engages into 2. I thought it was my shifting at first, as it seems random, but I'm thinking it may be the gate itself as it moves with the shifter. It seems to be getting less noticeable as I put the miles on, but I do still feel it every now and then. I heard on other Honda forums (RSX, S2000) about a 1>2 'clunk' when shifting which seems to be a trademark of Honda trannys, so I wonder if this is it? It's my first Honda so, I've nothing to campare it with. Any S2000 or RSX owners feel something similar?
