Welcome to the world of black car ownership! I think certain silvers/grays and some dark blues hide dirt really well.

When I got my new Fit this month I gave my '93 Volvo 850 (Champatgne color) to my daughter ( over 35). That car looked brand new when I gave it to her. I waxed it with a hard wax - Mother's (with carnauba) - twice a year. In between hard waxes I used DuPont's Teflon Spray wax twice a year. Occasional washes (with just plain water and doing the final rinse with the filtered water from my Mr Clean Auto Dry - No drying required and no water spots), as required. Lighter colored cars do not show dust and dirt compared to a dark colored car. My Nordic Green RX-8 (almost black in color) really shows the dust and dirt.
