Meet Stinky:
She's a 1969 911T Targa with a '70 2.2l flat six air cooled engine. I bought her from some friends who found her in Houston with her PO, who had put her in storage for 17 years after developing a fuel leak somewhere. Her original engine was seized since water got into several of the cylinders through the carburetors. I bought the car, sans engine and transmission (and a few other minor parts) from my friends, and proceeded to transplant the engine, transmission, gas tank, seats, and a few other components from the 1970 911 coupe I had previously bought, but found that it is VERY rusty. Not impossible to fix, but more than I wanted to chew. Stinky has very little rust, and only has a couple places that need repair. One of the friends I bought her from has experience welding, so in exchange for what's left of my '70 coupe, he is going to do the welding for me.
She needs tons of TLC, but when completed, she will be a very sweet car to own and drive.
~125-140hp out of that 2.2l engine might not seem like much, but it's a light car (2200lb), so it's actually quite quick. When I get the suspension reworked a bit, it should outhandle even many modern cars.
Here she is in action, chasing a 996!

Busy family of cars
07 Storm Silver Fit For Fun
06 Mustang GT For Drag Racing
04 Kia Sedona For Beating to death
05 2500 Ram For when it gets heavy
I like having a car that I can drive to where I know that someone is going to dent it or have to park in some field at a fair or something, then I have to haul wood or something, always wanted a mustang and really like the classic styling, and you can't get much more fun to drive than the Fit.
