Welcome to the New Moderators!!

We are pleased to announce to the forum that we have a couple new moderators to help with maintaining the forum.

Please be sure and give a warm welcome to the following:

gimme------------- Has been promoted from Forum Moderator to our newest Super Moderator. He now has the privilege and responsibility of wielding the Ban-Stick.

dewthedew-------- Has been inducted as our newest Forum Moderator.

A round of applause for these two, and e-beer's on me!

They have both shown themselves to be contributing members of the community and exemplify the qualities the administration team wish to continue and promote.

If any one has an issue or a question, please feel free to contact any one of us on the admin/moderation team. We will be happy to assist you in any way we can.

We want to continue to grow the Honda Fit community and to promote this forum as a meeting place where everyone is welcome to share their thoughts, ideas, dreams and ambitions in a safe environment, free from drama, personal attacks and outright ignorance.

I just love that last sentence but the rest of the post sounds very good as well....Both have always been on top of things both in contributions to the forums as well as enthusiasm about other peoples ideas.

I always thought moderators needed to reach a certain rep level. Hmm, guess I was wrong. Cash? How much cash?

rep, post count, register date, cash, etc all have nothing to do with it.

I don't know what an ATSer is and this is the only car forum I'm on. I'm just a new Fit owner. The reference is to the Simpson's episode about insects taking over the world:

"Deep Space Homer" is the source of the "Overlord meme", which is lifted from Kent Brockman's line "And I, for one, welcome our new insect overlords" and is commonly used on internet forums to express mock submission, usually for the purpose of humor or when a "participant vastly overstates the degree of oppression or social control expected to arise from the topic in question."[13] The term was used by New Scientist magazine,[14] and was referenced on the February 16, 2011 episode of Jeopardy! by Ken Jennings in acknowledgment of the accomplishments of the computer Watson.[15]
