There were some very juvenile cliques that were stalking anyone that didn't worship overpriced JDM products and "hella flush" back when this thread was opened... It was like being in the 8th grade again and not having a Shwinn Stingray with a metal flake gold seat cover and Beatle boots.

My only problem with the boots and the Shwinn Stingray was that I was a big kid with big size 12+feet and over 6 ft tall neither really fit me quite right..I still wore the boots and rode the little bike... Did you know those little bikes weighed 47lbs?

Whoah 47lbs...My Triathlon bike I use for Ironman is 9lbs. Full carbon fibre....except the pedals wich are titanium. Come to think of it my seat rails are titanium and the seat is CF as well. Kinda hard on the rear end.

My bike as a kid...

I waxed mine once about 3 years ago but I don't recall what I used.. Meguire's liquid I think it was... I clay barred it first.. It would still be looking nice if I was to wash and dry it.

I use Meguiar's NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0

On and off like butter.

Only problem it only lasts about 3 to 4 weeks...Once a month is fine with me.

It's too much work to wash and wax my Fit.. It isn't much harder to do the same to a Cadillac... Both are much less labor intensive than detailing a Harley-Davidson big twin so I shouldn't be bitching after keeping one of those big dogs looking like a show bike before I'd go for a ride... I guess it's old age and being more into go than show... I'm off to town to pick up a Subaru bicycle motor and Staton rear wheel, transmission and mounting brackets.. I need to be careful with what I bid on ebay for.. I have been wanting this same setup for one of my beach cruisers for a few years.. 150MPG will compensate for some of what I spend on the other projects I mess with.
