FIT Redesign in 2008?

I agree brecase Fit/Jazz has been on sale for several years in Japan and in other countries, so what will happen to the North American Fit when it is redesigned soon in Japan?

Normally Honda redesign their models about 4-5 years, so maybe the Fit will redesign in the next year or two.

Also with the next generation Fit debuting in Japan shortly, how long will this 2007 version be on US showroom floors?

Here said maybe a redesign in 2008 for Fit

what company spends all that money on marketing to launch a new car they are redesigning in another year. i mean, it's possible but unlikely. after all, the scion models are unchanged even though their international versions have been updated, right? there's even a new yaris in the states but the xa, essentially a four-door yaris, is still going strong.

Thats being a bit too optimistic there dont you think? At the most the next Fit will have about 140hp unless they drastically increase the size of the car which I doubt they will. The new car in Japan spec should weigh no more then 2400lbs, the current Japanese GD3 weighs just over 2200lbs. As far as the gas mileage and price, you have better chances of winning the lottery then ever seeing that happen.

hmm... bears a nice family resemblance to the new civic. but i'm here for the liftbacks - if i wanted a sedan i would just buy a used civic (which, btw, is why nobody bought the echo)

Now, the Fit Aria = new Honda City, right?

I read that somewhere, I could be totally off base.

Hopefully, when we get the full model change (FMC) for the Fit we'll also get an improved-looking Fit Aria four-door sedan along with it.
