Buying a FIT???

Whats up FIT nation? I own a 95 Del Sol and it recently got its rear end smashed in. It looks like the car is going to be a written off as a total lose and the other guys insurance co. is going to cut me a check. I've been looking at Fit's, which lead me to this site. I'll probably pick up a used Fit Sport with a couple thousand miles on it. Whats the diffrence between the 1st and 2nd generation? Are there any things I should know before picking up a FIT, etc. Any insite would be great.

Thanks in advance

1. Don't let them lo-ball you. It's a Honda and will be worth a good chunk of change. Go look up the KBB value and aim for that.

2. I LOVE my first gen. I saw a 2nd gen at the dealer and the only thing I really liked better was that the seats were more comfortable. There are a few more luxury options available, but my first gen has everything I need and then some.

You will love the Fit. I really think you should get a 2nd gen. A lot of the things that 1st gen. owners griped about were fixed with the 2nd gen. Plus the body design is more stylish.

1.) I hear ya, I worked in sales for about 10 years before my current job. So I think i'll be alright in the getting ripped off/ saying no dept.
2.) I've been looking at used 08's. I'm trying to keep my buying price around 14k.

Wow, Liberty Mutal came correct!!! I don't want to discuss money numbers but today, I got more money for my car than what i orginally payed for it three years ago! Thanks Libery Mutal!!! Now I can put a nice chunky down payment on my future Fit.
