Price Paid
I see a lot of people on these forums saying that they paid over MSRP. Yikes! Every Fit I've seen at the dealers around Minneapolis are all charging MSRP but none of them will go below it. When we picked ours up the salesman showed us the invoice and it wasn't a whole lot less than the MSRP. I believe the dealers also get something like a guaranteed 3% of the invoice... not sure how that works, but at MSRP they're not exactly making a whole lot.
Anyway, so we paid $15,720 for our Fit Sport. What did others pay?

I paid 15720 MSRP + 1600 markup + 500 for some antithief computer chip, and the usual tax, license fees

$16520 + $500 parts and labor for ipod interface, wheel locks, exhaust tip, all season mats (they threw in the carpet mats), sport grill, package A (paint and interior protection) which i dont care for. All was already on the car, it totalled at ridiculously outrageously $2500. After numerous NO, they gave it to me at COST.

Their explanation was since they can't mark it up they have to put dealer add-ons (pinstripes) to the car. It seems that they're trying to take advantage of the low availability, but guess what, the buying public is getting smarter and will not get sucked into that.
