Just by looking at the dashboard, it must be MT.

Yeah judging by the revs, it's definitely an MT. ~110 mph = 5339 rpm. (20.6 mph per 1000 rpm at top gear)

Cool. 110mph is 178km/h. Holy shit, that is fast!!

I must add, the Canadian speedo in Km/h looks better, more biger numbers cramed together.

i've taken pics while driving before. i took lots of pics to keep from falling asleep while driving back from vegas. course i wasn't doing 115. . but i have taken the jetta to about 140-150MPH before. it was pretty stable. course not as stable as a 911. hehe 150MPH on a 911 felt like 60MPH.

but the total miles on it was 300 mi. The engine is new and hasn't been broken in yet.

For South Florida that is just keeping up with traffice on the way to the keys on I-75 in the Doral area. I can't think of the number of times I drove 100-110 when I had my S2000. Since we moved to Texas it is a different story the speed limit, is the limit especially in the cities.

Drive your car how you want and enjoy the hell out of it.
Though I have heard that before, I still think it is a idiotic thing to do.

I remember when I had my S2000, I followed break in properly and never lost a drop of oil. I knew others that redlined a lot during break in and then bitched about losing a quart every 1000 miles.

Hopefully the little Fit engine (which I swear was swiped from a Harmony self-propelled) breaks in well with stress.

I'm assuming your still stock? If so thats a pretty good speed to "max out" at. Was this flat road or downhill?

180km/h is just about 111mph, so there's no winner...

No, with a 3.2l I6...of course not with the Fit. But I just found it funny that 110 was considered fast and that people were making a stink over him taking the picture. On the Bimmer forums people get similarly scolded but their pics are at 160+

It's not that 110mph is fast, everyone knows this. However, its more or less the fact that its a 110mph with 109hp in a car. With roughly 90whp, 110mph is a well earned and talked about acheivement. Not because its so fast, but because it was done with a stock 1.5l fit.

jeebus i know how bimmers drive and lambos and ferraris and benzies what ever...my friend has a shop in miami and thats all he fixes are all exotics so i know how to go faster than 110 mph...actually the car tops out at 115 mph and with out the govenor it would reach 120...but that little car reaching 115 mph is pretty good for that little motor and its get there pretty fast if you know how to get it there...at the same time control is a factor

Very impressive.

Now that I know it can do 110-115mph, I can smile wide as I drive 75-80, knowing I've got "horses" to spare....
