If you're looking for performance or something to get big power gains from...this isn't the car for you IMO. Get the new Civic Si for about $5-6k more. I see the Fit as a great daily driver. It can haul a lot for its size, it's very fuel efficient and it's a Honda so you know it'll be reliable. The car does handle well, but if you're not looking to do an engine swap, I can't see buying this car to build for big performance. It's not exactly light either. With all that said...I still LOVE this car and I'm seriously considering selling my '05 STi to get one as things in my life have changed a lot lately. Financially I would save close to half the monthly payment every month, less $$ for gas and nearly $400 less a year on insurance.

Agree with Bounty Hunter for the most part. If performance is what you're looking for (or the potential for performance), this car's not going to satisfy you.

I hope I'm not prying, but why exactly is repairing the RSX not an option? Damage to the front didn't look terribly bad...

i used to own an RSX-S... uber fun. i was going to turbo it, but instead i just used that money for an evo. i'm selling the evo for a fit, so im doing an even bigger performance loss then you are ^_^

I agree for the most part with the other members who have posted so far that this car isnt the most performance oriented car. It is not a Civic Si or RSX-S but its also lighter then both of those cars. Given that fact, it wont take as much engine modification to make this a relatively quick car, not a 13 sec car but quicky nonetheless for what it is.

It really depends on what you want from this car, if it is going to be your daily driver then it would be a great car for that. If you want to use it as a dual purpose car, daily driver and a weekend track car then it can easily be that also. But if you want a car with serious speed out of the box or even after modifications, then you more then likely wont get that from this car short of a engine swap.

2003 was the last year for the S2000. Then 2004 was. Then 2005 was. Now 2006 is the last year.

I don't believe a word of it until it comes from Honda.

i agree. especially when the tuning market in japan is so great for it. remember, the S2000 has the best Touge car out on the market (via BMI). do you really think Honda is going to let down there legacy?

i bet you we will see a big change in the car before 2008, but not the abandonment of it.

DC5 looks great in the pics. That DC5 is a completly different car and if you understand that than I think you will be happy with the GD3.

After seeing your car, I went to the Acure website. I knew they had done this, but why get rid of the bumper cutouts for the head and taillights. Your car looked so much better than the new ones.
