Since around '99 I have heard mostly complaints on the net about Dunlops on new vehicles and there seems to be some truth to it. By vehicles, I mean cars, trucks, motorcycles even scooters. I believe the first was from CRV owners about tire noise, later (~01) it was quick wearing and twitchy handling on honda sport bikes (600cc). Next (~02) it was my toyota truck which I was told it was a great truck except the tires and battery and both were dead on. One owner said he only got 4k on the dunlops and I guess I was lucky to get 12k. On the honda scooter, they say the bridgestones will go almost double (7k vs 4k) compared to the dunlop and I barely got 4k at that. When I picked up my new fit about 2 weeks ago the only downer was the site of those damn tires. On a positive note thought, I am willing to bet whatever I replace them with will be a much quieter and longer lasting tire!

I did on my Fit with dunlop tires 7400miles yesterday and I need to replace them soon, becouse they almos out. I plan to replace them for Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S
hope will last longer.

When I replaced the ones on my toyota with MICHs, they were Night and Day better. Not only did the dunlops wear quickly, but they always pulled slightly to the right. The Michs drove straight and when I traded in the truck 2 weeks ago for the fit, they had almost 47k and still had another 10k-20k or so left on them. I can't seem to escape these darn dunlops. I bought a new bike in late june and sure enough, sorry dunlops. With less than 2 k they are already wearing. I am guessing vehicle manf's are pushing dunlops on us because they get them very cheap at the cost of dunlops reputation. But unlike my toyota, at least Honda gave us a high quality battery that should last years. Only catch is they are not sold aftermarket.

There are various brands that you can choose from depending on the kind that you are comfortable and that which suits the car. Check out: www.clicktire.com. They have a great range of tires and wheels and I’m sure you will find the right ones to suit your needs.

Whatever tire you want to buy. HFP wheels come bare.

H and A link
HFP wheels for the 2008 Fit are usually around $50 each ($200/set) more expensive than the identical HFP wheel for the 2007. Supposedly, this is due to the changes made to the wheel to accommodate the TPMS sensors.

Addendum: What's this with low mileage Dunlops already worn out? My Fit's stock dunlops have 22,000 miles on them with lots of tread left. Of course, I don't drive like an ass (most of the time, anyway) and rotate every 5,000 miles.

And a little more. H and A has HFP wheels for the 2008 and up Fit on sale right now for $135.50 each. They will work on the earlier cars, too.

What tires do the rest of you Sport owners have? By the way the model Dunlops on my Sport are the SP37 A/S, A/S standing for All Season.

All the ones we've seen are Dunslop Sp's. They are replaced quickly and remain in storage for trade-in time.
