fix or repace damaged windshield gasket (reveal molding)
My car get sprinkled with reclaimed water every night and I found a lot of rust spots on the car's body as well as in the the groove of the reveal molding (gasket) between the windshield and the roof.
These rust deposits come from the reclaimed water, iron at at reduced form, just oxidize in the air and form rust deposits everywhere. They are a real pain to remove.
To get them out of the gasket, I used the pressure washer which was too high, so I damaged the gasket very lightly, but enough to puncture it at two places.
It looks like the gasket is just aesthetic and the windshield is sealed to the car's body, but since I carry ocean kayaks, I do not want salt to accumulate underneath the gasket.
Here are my questions:
1- Is there a cement I could use to patch the holes?
2- what is the Honda Fit 2009 part # to replace the gasket. And if replacement is needed, what level of difficulty am I looking at?
Thanks immensely for the help/tips.

It looks like changing the molding is not an option unless you remove the windshield. The shop cannot warranty that it will not break during the removal.
So, it looks like I will try using black RTV silicon glue to fix the two tiny holes the best I can.

how about you use some 3M e-tape and just close up the holes?
you wont believe how well they withstand against weather.
ps, next time try some vinegar 50/50 with water in a spray bottle and keep spraying at it every now and then to keep it
moist. those stains should melt away.
