Being in parts, what is the prognosis for adding cruise to the base Fit? What would I need and how much would it cost? Thanks for any info.

That's notsoemthing i'm even going to attempt to quote, most dealer will just tell you to have a aftermarket kit installed, we've did that only one time and it was on a element, and the car kept coming back for problem due to adding the cruise onto it.

Quite simple, there is no Civic hatch. For me a 5 door is the only option. Once you've owned wagon's its impossible to go back to a sedan. Its not all about looks its about the overall packaging.

My 2 cents.

Ok, Heres my 2 cents, I also work for Honda and I am not a salesman either. I personally love the car I have been a member of this forum for a while now so I didn't join just to slam the cars looks. First of all as an employee of a Honda dealer and not Honda Motor Company you like most of the service staff that I know of are over opinionated and underpaid for what you do.You probably sit around all day knocking your customers cars and playing solitare all day and wondering what you can recommend for repairs because business is slow and you sat on too many cars for so long that you have no work to do. You are also probably upset about the fact that the car has a maintenance minder system so you can't run any scams on fuel detergents and other overpriced and unnecessary services, not to mention you won't be seing many people as often because the car takes into account real world oil life. Ok, so thats a bummer perhaps you will find that maybe the true crooks of the dealership are the ones that file false warranty claims against the company that builds the cars that help pay your bills and perhaps you are just bad at what you do always having to refer to the interactive network for every job just so you can get through another repair that takes you longer than it should because you have no true diagnostic skills to speak of but honda will have some sort of repair update that will get you through another day of your pathetic existance. Quit whining, I make 75k a year I paid my dues from Porter to Present, I bought a Fit Sport, I could buy a nissan Skyline or NSX If I wanted to, I did so not because it was cheap or so I could save on gas, I did so because I hold the true to the values that Honda has worked so hard to instill upon its employee's. Honda has always made cars that are fuel efficient, economically priced, feature filled, hold true to our racing heritage, have an uncommon commitment to safety, and some of them may not be the most attractive to someone who can't see that automobiles are built on form and function not one or the other. You talk like a domestic car mechanic and are a disgrace to this company. Go work for GM I'm sure they have a great position for you and plenty more warranty work to keep you paid in billable hours than Honda could produce for you than your wind noise complaint. For everyone else who had to read this I'm sorry for being so long winded.

Now you want to cover it up, if you had simply said you did not like it I would have respected your opinion but you said it was ugly and no one could deny that, you got what you ask for.

Hey MisFIT..........
I picked up my Blaze Orange Metallic Fit Sport this morning. It was even better then I expected. The "Orange" if you can really call it that, seems to change it's color in different lighting. It's really an eye catcher. I was a little leery about orange but can honestly say I don't think I could be happier with one of the other choices. As one of these people said, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. You are going to love it. Good choice.

Thank you sir,

You're words are encouraging, as I'm still a little nervous about buying a car in a color I have never seen in person. I'm just hoping its not as bright as the orange on the Element. The salesguy's swore to me up and down that it wasn't as bright.

Either way I can refure delivery of the car if I hate it and order a different color, but I don't want to have to wait another 2 months.

Post some pics will ya.

I disagree that it is the ugliest because it looks better than the 84'-87' four door Civic wagon.
I totally agree with this statement.

I believe this car shares something with the fit. The fit has alot of glass therfore the cab is warmer( My guess is, its the cab space ratio to glass). This is particularly so with black interior... Basically The fit is a rolling solor collector. The pace car is probly the worst offender of all time with this problem. It does not make any differance what color interior the Pace car is it keeps alot of heat.
It is tough to maintain a comfortable temperature in my new fit even with the windows down... on a day that is below or near 60 F. Of course my interior is black and it stays toasty. I Plan to tint the windows very soon to hopfully fix this problem.

I didn't like the Accord that was restlyed in 2002, but the 2006 with it's exterior refresh is actually a nice looking car (IMO).

I have wrestled with making a choice between the Civic and the Fit, but I really want a hatchback.
I bought a fit because I wanted a hatchback. It would have been a civic hatchback if still sold in the usa

Heh.

I just put a deposit down on a Fit Sport, in blaze orange, because I think it's a damn cute car. My first choice was a MINI Cooper, but it wasn't practical at this point in my life. So money wasn't the issue. I liked the car's looks, features, and functionality. I think Civics are the epitome of boring, and don't really like sedans.

Phish-guy, I live in Ohio, and I just saw one of the service guys at my local Honda dealer who looked like he could be a serious Phish freak. I hope it wasn't you, because I certainly wouldn't want my car in the hands of sucha whiny tosser, should it require service.

Of course, should I find out it's you, living in a small Ohio college town, it'd sure be a shame if I showed your post to your bosses. Luckily, I'm not a mod with the ability to read IP addresses, and narrow you down to, say, a FrogNet account.

IMO
I guess you really just mean it's a really weird looking car. ugly is a little too harsh isn't it? sure, it's your opinion but people who think it looks ok might be offended just like if you said someone's girlfriend was ugly.

everyone seems so offended by this post. plain in simple, this guy doesnt like the looks. I own a fit, and I agree its pretty darn ugly compared to the majority of 06-07 vehicles. I think the toyota yaris are even uglier but that doesn't encourage me to check there forums so that I could tell them its ugly. Some people enjoy there cars like art or music, contemporary or abstract, people have different interests yet you dont see a person who is into hip hop music go up to a group of heavy metal fanatics and say "your music sucks."

Eval for this post:
1.) I respect his opinion as everyone is entitled to there own personal views.
2.) What I don't get, is if you dont own a fit, nor like the thing. Why register as a member just so you can let people who actually do care about its looks know you hate its appearance?

Conclusion - the guy was probably just real bored, reading forums due to interest in latest model cars and found it amusing to voice an opinion which caused comments blazing. Would you really expect him to come back to look for comments agreeing with what he said on a site dedicated to the vehicle? I assume for the majority of my assumption that he looked for comments on how people would be upset with his views. Propaganda at its best.

pipsqueek I cant count higher, said...
"the only thing i hate about the car is the way it looks"...unquote

wow, some dont like the mpg, others dont like the way the headlights aim, and some dont like the (add your complaint here...), if the ONLY thing you dont like, is the edgy styling, your ahead of curve. ....or stuck in the ditch, a few turns back. or obviously ignorant of its features.

why not post a picture of yourself so we can see true beauty, and style? go ahead, we wont call you ugly.
