New PA Owner
Hi All
I just picked up my Black, Sport 5 speed tonight.
All in all, it is awesome. I bought the car because I am now driving about 40,000 to 45,000 miles a year for my business. My old daily driver was an Element...that is going to sit at the office now and be used only for deliveries and bad winter weather. The Fit will more than break even for me...in the last 7 weeks I spent $894 in gas! The Element averages 21 mpg, so if the fit can average 35 mpg for me, I should save about $75 a month over the payment for the Fit!
I am selling the van I had bought for the business because I have too many cars sitting around (I also still have my 1997 del Sol VTEC...not for sale!) If anyone in PA knows anyone looking for a reliable 1997 Odyssey, have them visit http://van.ctsnow.com
How many other high mileage drivers do we have out there? I am guessing that I'll be putting at least 3500 miles a month on my Fit.

My last couple Hondas didn't really start to see better gas mileage until 5000 miles or so.
I will also say, this is Honda (car, at least) number 8 and I have NEVER had a Honda get what the window says. I will say that how I have driven them almost never makes a difference. I tested a couple times with my del Sol...driving like a granny for one tank yielded 247 miles and then hitting redline (8000 rpm) almost every shift...that tank yielded 243 miles. That was enough for me to never drive it slowly again!
I'd be thrilled to see a combined 35 mpg from the Fit. I am probably 70%/30% Highway/City.
For the curious:
1987 Civic Auto (grandmother stopped driving, was my college car. 76 HP!)
1997 Civic EX 5 speed (traded on del Sol)
1997 del Sol VTEC 5 speed (still in my garage!)
2001 S2000 (awesome, not practical)
2002 Civic Si 5 speed (practical, not awesome...needed more space for business)
2003 Element EX 5 speed AWD (still have it for the business)
1997 Odyssey LX (want it? http://van.ctsnow.com)
2007 Fit
Bikes:
1989 Honda VTR250 (Barbie Dream Bike, great starter, traded on CBR)
1994 Honda CBR600F2 (traded on VFR)
1999 Honda VFR800 (sold last year)
Being bikeless is weird...if I had the time and spare cash, I'd grab a new CBR600RR.

Best news is the gov't will pay to ship it to the states when I move back. So, it may be a relatively small, slow sportsbike, but it will be fairly exclusive. Thanks to all. Yours and my tax dollars at work!

In December, I couldn't take it anymore and bought the NC30 in my avatar. I ride it everyday, and so far, am still alive. Gotta get to a track to scratch the itch, though.
