Dilemma

Dilemma
Hi Fit Freaks,
I talked to two dealers:
One is big dealer with President's Award but will not have the Fit of my choice until mid of next month. (Quoted :15970+55+Tax+270 for Plates and Tabs and 50 Doc fee ~= $17900)
One is a smaller dealer without President's Award and will have the Fit of my choice in 7-10 days. (Quoted: 15970+550+Tax+320~=$17900)
I am planning to for Honda Financing to pay for the Fit.
I am in a dilemma which one to choose.
If any, what may be the disadvantages in buying from a smaller dealer compared to the big dealer (from both financing and future maintenance points of view).
Also, does anyone think we can get Fit for less than MSRP?
Please provide your expert insights on this.
I am waiting on replies to this.
Thanks in Advance.

If you're not familiar with the maintenance reputation of either dealer, I would go with whatever dealer you're most likely to go to for warranty work. My experience has been that the dealer who sold it to you is much more likely to go to bat for you on any warranty issues.

Thanks DewaltDakota!
No, I don't have any idea on both dealerships (recently moved to this place).
In general, is there any particular advantage to go with a big dealer? If no, I am leaning towards the small dealer, as they will have my Fit sooner than the Big dealer. Does the President's award make any difference?

Hi DRum, Sorry in the first one, that is $550(Destination) not $55, a typo. So they must be same.

OK that makes sense. I would have said go for the first one because it is quite a big cheaper. I don't see a problem with the lower rated dealer as long as they treat you well.
Some of the higher rated dealers get their ratings because they harass (or bribe with freebees) the customers to give them only the highest ratings. So the presidents award by itself does not always mean excellence - but it usually does.

i was quoted $100 under msrp for a 5spd sport by one dealership.
and after talking with another fit dealer today, it sounds like he is very eager to sell... however, i am perfectly aware that if there is any lower price, it won't be that much lower. we will see what it comes down to, if anything.
