do you think the Fit would look better w/o the front plate?

Every car looks better without a front plate.
I like to put mine up in the windshield inside the car, but I recently got a ticket for that in MD, they said it wasn't legal to do anymore.
I mind the plates a lot less if they're over to one side, but the windshield is still ideal IMO.

I never run front plates on my cars. Only once was my wife pulled over in my M3 for it, and the cop just warned her. I am going to call the dealer and ask them not to drill any holes for the front plate (if the car requires drilling like many do)

I agree all cars look better without a front plate. The worst eysore was on the MX-5 - such a round cute little nose, and then ruined by than big white plate on it ![Frown](https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Two plates are mandatory in HI - and they will stop you. My old Jeep plate got lost during offroading, and I ended up being stopped enough times that I was likely to get the same policeman twice, at which point I wouldn't get off with a warning any more.

Manitoba used to have no front plate a few years back. Then when the car makers left off the indent for the plates in the front bumper, the Gov't. changed their mind and mandated 2 plates again. Lots of dealers scrambling around trying to fit front plates again.
My take is the police said they needed a view of front plates.
I saw a video on TV of a vehicle cruising parking lots taping rear plates and checking the NCIC data base for stolen cars. Invasion of privacy in a public area or better for crime solving? Also Britain has 1.5 million security cameras already. 1984 and Big Brother.
