A/C filter

The limited info on the Honda website says "air conditioning with air filtration system". Does anybody know anything about the air filtration, eg. is it a HEPA filter? Or could I put in a HEPA filter aftermarket?

Its a HEPA if the same as other markets. Goes in a dedicated box behind the glovebox (pull glovebox out to get to it). Great if you suffer from hayfever.

Australian cars didn't come with it but quite a few of us have purchased and installed the filters. Makes a noticeable difference and a good idea with a baby.

Thanks vividjazz - I get hayfever badly, and I have generally found that my driving improves when I am not sneezing my head off with tears streaming down my eyes rummaging around my handbag for a tissue

Do you mean Australian cars didn't come with the air filtration or with a filter that wasn't a HEPA filter? How did you know?

Aussie cars came with nothing. They cut corners were people aren't going to notice it so much. The box where it goes is empty on our cars. There are 2 filters avail from Honda both HEPA the only difference being one has a deodorisor as well. I've just got the regular one. Was about A$50.

Interesting. I'll check this out if I decide to buy the stripped Canadian DX (with no A/C and, I presume, no filter).
