I dont own a fit yet, still saving and debating to wait for the 2010 model but I know a small amount of people that drive honda's, not riced out ones and a large sum of people that drive cars/trucks with V8's & they talk shit non stop... I've owned mustangs and always liked honda, for numerous reasons..

But, Im curious if you guys hear people talking shit to you when you're out in your fits? Friends or strangers?

 

Nah I don't hear much. I just get some stares, good and bad. It happens with lots of cars. I imagine the Smart Fortwo guys get it MUCH worse.

 

I don't have a Fit yet either but am heading that direction. I personally won't give a rat's a** what anyone says about mine when I get it. I've never been out to impress anyone with my car (as can be seen by my car list: 81 Mustang hatch, 95 Golf hatch, 04 Focus SE hatch & 97 Cavalier).

yea, the people who drive the smart cars, im sure they get some negetive feedbacks. as for me, not negetive, but they do say things that are factual. like its not a fast car. they dont say things like "my car will rip yours apart" or shit like that. but if you want to avoid that, put some "uniqness" to the car. doesnt have to be performance or intakes or sumthin like that, just, something that says you, like an emblem or tint or lights or tires, something that says you've done something to the car to make it different.

BUT, i od have hate for people who drive the modern mustangs, to me, there racer wanna bes, ESCPECIALLY when they leave it stock and run thier mouth, pfft. like thats any passion for thier car. sure a mustang will out run me, but i have more passion about my car than that whack-off does

 

A big negative about driving the Fit in L.A. is since there are so many cars you get constant abuse from other driver thinking they can push you off the road or cut you off or give you the finger. Believe me the difference is huge between driving a butch big SUV and this Fit.

Just shows how moronic people are. They judge by appearance. Duh.

I don't hate on any car. I hate on people who talk shit about my car but they have shittier cars. A V6 automatic stock 2004 Mustang does not get more pussy than my car, nor is it better-looking than my car.

I haven't gotten any negative feedback about my Fit. People think it looks cool. This elderly couple actually asked me what kind of mileage i'm getting with it. They loved how it looked, I even gave them a "tour" on the inside if the fit. I referred them to the new GE8 because I think it's a "softer" ride compared to the GD3.

Sure the GD3 isn't the fastest car on the road, nor the biggest, nor the most expensive, but it's probably the funnest car to drive while averaging about 32-38mpg.

oh yeah, V6 AT Mustangs and Camaros FTMFL.

oh yeah, a riced out red EG civic stopped next to me at a stoplight and rev'ed his engine signaling to race. of course i rev'ed mine too. light turned green, he raced, i did my usual speed. I stopped next to him on the next stop light. WHAT A LOSER! hahahaha, he felt so stupid. all i heard was his fart can exhaust.

 

I had a boosted s13 try to race me, turning left... at a signal only light..haugh,
either they don't know my car is a rickety econo box, or they are desperate and falling upon the first sucker with an axle back.

as far as negative feedback, the good commentary far outweighs the bad so far.

True, any "muscle" car with a V6 is shit. I'd take a Mustang GT is someone offered it to me, gladly lol... but Im not much on V6 engines in mustang's and camaros...

My boss makes *** jokes about it every now and then. I really don't give a shit though. It is reliable and gets awesome gas miliage. Everyone's priorities are different. I like him but I can tell he cares too much about appearance and what other people think. Hence the shiny BMW he drives. Well, I care about being functional, saving money and having money to support my family. He is single. Our priorities are way different.

I think I actually live in an area liberal enough that people in big V8 SUVs, etc., kind of get dirty looks. At least from me. . .

My boss is from Eastern Europe and so has a unique way of saying things in English sometimes. He said my Fit looks "like a little jewel". I thought that was pretty cool.

 

LOL @ smart cars. When i first saw one on the street i LOL'ed. But yeah i never really get shit for my car. Maybe its because of the area i live in. But occasionally i do get a couple bros, and aZn wanksters(no offense, im chinese) who want to race me. LOL! But there are tons of Fits in the area i live in. GD3 ftmfw! =]
