A couple of weeks ago when i was negotiating a price with my honda dealer, he seemed convinced they were going to receive a small shipment of fits before the actual release date of April 20. Going by this, I would think some American dealers would have started receiving some by now.

So has anyone heard of an American dealer getting a fit yet? Whats the latest guess for when when they'll first arrive?

Still waiting in Northern Virginia. I can't even get any of the dealers I've talked with to call me back.

 

We should start hearing reports real soon. They came quite early to Canada - people were driving them a week or more before the intro date.

 

Mine should be arriving as early as a week from Today, maybe sooner, maybe a few days later but the salesman told me its on the boat over to the US already.

Have you gone in person?

The Honda dealership on Route 7 in Tysons Corner won't leave me alone, they've been calling more than once a week.

You have to go in person to get any sort of response.

 

My dealer in Florida said April 20 is still the official date, but they might arrive a day sooner. I was assured that it would absolutely not be any later than April 20.

 

My dealer in Mass. is saying this week they will arrive.

 

Last week, I was told it would be here this week. I got a call from my dealer today and they said it would not arrive as they thought, it will be here next week, the week of the 20th.

Honda must be holding them somewhere. My build date was 3-10 and it cleared customs on 3-28.

 

I have put a deposit down at my local dealer in Manassas two weeks ago. I contacted them by email last week. They said they didn't know when my car would be in, but they would let me know. That's the last I've heard. I got the VIN # when I put the deposit down. For what I have read here on the discussions, dealers get the VIN # 10-14 days before delivery, which I should already have my car by now. One other dealer quoted me $1600 over MSRP - needless to say, I haven't gotten back to them.

 

We'll probably see them in California first before anywhere else.

 

My dealer has had the VIN for a week, but is saying mine won't arrive until early May now?!? I'm hoping they're just trying to keep me from calling every day, and that it will actually be here sooner.

 

I put a deposit down on a Blue Sport Automatic, and they told me that I wouldn't get it until the first week of June. They said that they are only making certain colors first. I might take back my deposit if I find another dealership selling either a Blue or a Storm Silver. We'll see. I should be able to wait. But it's killing me...

 

Mine is Storm Silver (3-10 build date). I talked to a different guy and they confirmed that the car is in Kansas City and might be here this weekend. They said that Honda is holding the car till closer to the release date.

Another dealer has a Blue Sport 5-speed build date March 22 and a Blue Sport Auto with a build date of April 12.

Looks to me like all the March build dates should arrive at dealers by April 20.

I stopped by the dealer after work, and they're now saying April 20th... it's coming through the Port of Baltimore.

 

dealers on the gulf coast told me their first shipments are somewhere between san diego and here, and it should be around the 20th.

 

All US Dealers will have one on the lot by April 20th... That is what Honda of America released

 

If everything goes well with the Manassas dealer, let me know. I will be moving to that area in VA, and will want to buy as soon as I hit the deck in December.
