And, on the interior, they said, "The interior is one of the more expensive-looking among the B-Class cars. It is also one of the most comfortable."
Hmmmm? That remains to be tested by me. I still contend that VW makes one of the best interiors of any maker, with some of the greatest seats around.

Yeah - I own a 2000 VW Golf and it has a very refined interior that is well designed. The only thing is that I've owned that car for 2 years now and it's been towed 5 times for various problems. It's also had its engine replaced along with the catalytic converter and all the belts. I've spent about $5,000 trying to keep it running. And it only has 64,000 miles on it. VW's are pretty to look at, but their reliability is total crap. I've had other friends who own VWs and have had similar problems. I will NEVER buy another VW as long as I live. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER!

Now that I've got my car in working condition (it's running really well now), I'm trying to sell it and buy a Fit instead. I plan on having the Fit for at least the next 10 years. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I thought the Polo was the VW B class car.

I don't think the Golf is considered a B-class...too big and not in the same price range...

Actually, it would be the Polo, but for some reason VW has yet to bring it here.

I had a 1985 GTi that I put about 70k trouble free miles on in a few years and a 1995 Jetta GLX that I bought in March 1996 and sold in Sept 1999 with 106k, also trouble free (both cars did have minor initial problems with moonroof cable stretching, but that never would have required a wrecker). Loved both of them, but VW has gone too far upmarket for my taste.
