What does the FIT scheduled maintenance look like?

L series is a timing chain. Fit is equipped with maintainence minder.
Maintenance Minder System
The readout under the fuel gauge functions as a multi-information display that shows Maintenance Minder System service related items based on vehicle usage. The Maintenance Minder system automatically indicates when to have standard service performed based on actual driving conditions (tracked by the ECU) and minimizes the guesswork related to whether the vehicle is being used in standard or severe use conditions for maintenance interval purposes. The display indicates when to change the oil, air cleaner, transmission fluid, spark plugs or coolant, as well as when to rotate the tires.

Speaking of the Maintenance Minder System. I noticed that in many markets this displays the fuel economy of the car. For some reason this seems to be left out of NAmerican cars. I wonder if there is a way to turn it back on. It seems like it would be more trouble to make two different versions, so there is probably a way to enable the display. After all the computer knows how much fuel you are using.

tywen,
Follow the book and you can't go wrong.
Many dealerships try to sell useless (and sometimes damaging) flushes.
They get free leather jackets, prizes and all kinds of goodies for up-selling you on useless flushes. They also peg many cars under the "needs severe service" schedule when in reality most people don't need the severe service schedule. Its always been my practice to follow the manufacturer's recommended service schedule for normal driving by-passing all that unneccessary service and expense.
Do yourself and your car a favor and don't fall for that crap.
