Rear End Crash - Lockable Head Restraints?

I see lots of safety points on the Fit, but one of the worst crashes you can be in (and have no inkling it's coming) is a rear end crash. I've searched around the various Fit sites on safety but I don't see anything about the type of head rest the Fit employs. Head rests are pretty much worthless unless they set properly and are lockable or have an active crash mode. Anyone know what the Fit uses? Thanks.

They are tall head rests, you'll notice that when you lane change.

Tall, but lockable?

Thanks. The height of the head rest isn't the critical issue in a whip lash incident. What is important is whether the head read adjustment is lockable and whether the seat movement in a crash protects against whip lash. Saab and Volvo lead the pack in this area.

What do you mean? I'm lost there. They lock into place when you put them back on. There is a click to it when you remove them. You have to hold the little button while lifting them out. Is that what you mean?

Sounds like they are lockable.

Update: I got this info. from another forum, which appears to be from a Honda Rep.:
"The list of safety features in the training materials for sales specialists does not include the active head restraints that are found on the other Honda models....Features that are conspicuously absent are advanced compatibility engineering and those active head restraints. The crash tests over in Europe performed over the last few years on the Jazz (same as Fit) indicate that it performs very well."
