How do you remove the front spoiler or lip?

The body color piece on the lower edge of the bumper on an '08 Sport. I removed the 2 pairs of screws on both sides by the tires but what do I do next? It's got a lot of scratches and I want to either get it sanded and painted or buy a new one.

Open the hood you can see 4 clips holding on to the bumper you need to remove them and then on the bottom part of the bumper/spoiler there are 2 clips on both sides close to the tires then as you move inwards you can find 2 screws on opposite sides and 2 more clips. You can use flat head screw driver to pry out the clips, once you remove all the clips start pulling the bumper off starting from the sides.

Thats for the bumper itself, I'm asking about the spoiler/lip part attached to the lower front of the bumper.

I miss that part sorry. You still have to remove the bumper and once remove you can unscrew the lip from the inside part of the bumper.

Yeah, it's a PITA. That's why I am still driving with a slight gap between the lip and the bumper, kinda to the left of the center. I curbed the lip and it apparently bent the clips. Don't want to spend the money to have a body shop do the fix, and don't want to get in the middle of it and then find out I don't have everything I need, and have to drive my Fit looking like crap with the bumper removed. Well, OK, the plastic bumper cover.
When I do get around to doing the job, I want to change to a better horn while I'm in there.

Right now, it's hardly noticeable.

I had the bumper off when I replaced a fender and it's put back and aligned perfect. I don't want to take it off now if I don't have to.

hey

you do not have to remove the bumper or even raise the car to remove lip.

its a pain in the ass but possible within an hour or so. I did it sooooooooo long ago and dont really remember how long

i wish i can tell you exactly what to do but i forgot. you need an 8 or 10 mm and a phillips and and a flat head to take off clips. look somewhere. i find you link but i dont have time to search. its on here youll find it quick how to take it off.
a brand new oem cost me about 210 over a year ago from bernardi parts or some other site.

good luck
