Armrest

Does anyone know if Honda will offer a driver side armrest as an option on the USA Fit 2007?

This is the one I got because the Honda one was 1) ugly & 2) expensive

The US market doesn't have one either.

I like the one that you have, King Richard. Was it hard to install??

Thats a great link. I used to sling my arm around the back of the passenger seat in my old civic but the seats in the Fit are a little too tall for that. This is certainly something to look into.....

I say very simple.. just need to unbutton two plastic button in front and two screw next to the front seat and you could replace it. Oooo.. unscrew the cigarette lighter could be troublesome hehehehe...

But thats pretty much it.

An Armrest is available in the UK. Should be able to get one that way or through aftermarket. It definitely can be done.

Of course I would ask Honda to make one available here.

That 2 tone interior is sweet, I'd like that in the US. Lights are great too but I assume its custom.

MSRP on the UKDM armrest is approx GBP150

Take into consideration postage and minus the VAT, you're still looking at over $300 for one.

Simplist would be to make your own custom fitted arm rest that would be only in your car.

Was around A$200 including shipping from Italy. Unlike the factory armrest mine is all hand made using the finest Napia Leather and included additional cup holders. Installed with 2 big screws. Folds up out of the way when not needed.

Honda Australia wanted close to A$300 + fitting as you had to buy about 3 different parts to get a completed unit. They claimed it was a big job to fit it and would cost another couple of hundred in labour. The unit is fixed and cannot be folded up out of the way.

I've seen aftermarket Jazz armrests out of singapore for under A$100 shipped.

Remember US$1 buys almost $1.40 in Australian pesos.
