.... When you almost double the power output with boost, can do 0 to 60 in 6 seconds and still get 33 MPG.

Do you get better mileage with your exhaust cut out open or closed?

It isn't a cutout, it's a butter fly valve between the 2nd and 3rd resonator that is just ahead of the muffler with a 4"core and outlet.... I guess the muffler is really just an expensive very large exhaust tip... I keep the valve about 2/3rd of the way closed unless I am in town or going over 4000 RPM which unlike a stock Fit isn't necessary to do to keep up with traffic unless on the highway passing a line of slow moving traffic and I open it up... I completely close it in town and it does fine.... I think that the engine pulls better at low RPM when it is just slightly open and it warms up a little sooner when it's closed.... Cutouts are illegal if you get caught. Some guy was at a signal light with his engine idling and his cutouts open. When a cop pulled up beside him he closed the cutouts as the light changed but it was too late and the cop turned on his red and blue lights.. The chase was on and the dude ended up being shot to death by the cop..

I think the guy was wanted on other charges and might have had a gun....He had to be stupid to have had a warrant out for his arrest and be driving with open exhaust and closing them off from the drivers seat.... That was why he was being chased to begin with.

You know you own a Fit when...

...you hear people on FitFreak complaining how slow the car is... and you realize your M/T Fit has better acceleration than the M/T '82 RX-7 you once had.
...you're getting close to the first scheduled maintenance mileage before the first payment's due date.
...when you ride in someone's Jeep Grand Cherokee and feel claustrophobic.
...when you used to barely notice Fits in traffic, and now they stand out.

Man that is all so very true.... I never thought my Fit is slow and I don't understand what these people expect from a 2500lb station wagon with a 1500cc engine.

Just as you are starting to feel cool air from the A/C you can feel the clutch on the compressor disengage and the cool air is replaced by hot air.

.....plus .... only costs about $35 per FIT's full tank fill up and run for about 300 miles compared to about $100 per big SUV tank fill up and they also run about 300 miles
