Trade 2008 Fit in for a 2005 Civic Si?
I was considering trading my Fit in for a Civic Si. My Fit is 2008 Base model with the AT, with Seibon Spoon style carbon fiber spoiler, 22,xxx miles on it. All but 1 oil change has been done by the dealer and it had been backed into but the dent on the rear hatch was repaired back to factory condition. I'm wanting to trade in for a 2005 Civic Si, but I still owe on my Fit. Just want a manual that's faster than my Fit, but still a hatch (I only like driving hatchbacks for my primary driver, sedan or coupe for my secondary).
I know trade in for my Fit is $11,xxx and suggested dealer price for a 2005 Civic Si is $13,xxx so out of pocket would be $2000, plus keep paying on my loan. Would this be a good idea? Or should I just keep my Fit?

Yeah, I was mixing up the engine specs with an 2008. Be cheaper and easier for me to trade my auto for a manual and buy a Jackson super charger.

Get it!!!!!!!! I loved my EP3. Your Fit is a base so it will be a huge difference. I guess no one mentions how old the GD3 body style really is. The EP3 design and GD3 are from the same time. The best part is that a K20a2, K20a, or even K20z1 will bolt right up not need for mounts or cutting. I loved my GD3 but my EP3 was better IMO, unless you need 4drs.

I originally wanted a 2002-2005 Civic Si. I bought a 2007 Fit Sport, though. The handling (slalom speed and skid pad, according to Road and Track) of both models is almost identical. That is one of the main reasons why I got the Fit.
Pros for the Civic (compared to the Fit): standard sunroof, more horsepower, nice shifter location. Cons for the Civic: hard to get into the rear seats, no magic seats, worse gas mileage.
There are many more pros/cons, but these are the main ones for me. Now that I have the Fit, I'm glad I got a 4-door (before the Fit I drove a 92 Civic hatchback).

Thanks for the info i thought they would have had more. But not bad at all. I do like 4 doors though and magic seats. But i really like the si seats. i just don't want to put si seats in a fit to ricey and brides are way to much for me. I am happy with the fit just keep it man and try a turbo or supercharger i want on just need to let the warranty run out first at 100k or 7 years for me

They're both fantastic cars! I have them both (well GE8), but unfortunately have to let go of the EP3. The Fit is far more practical in many more ways than just 160 hp, sun roof, racing seats, etc. Not to mention higher insurance.
