Thumbs up Keyless Entry

Anyone know if the US Fit will have keyless entry? I haven't had to use a key to enter a car for maybe 15 years, I don't think I'd remember how to or maybe I'm just lazy. Thanks

Standard on the Sport, optional on the other models.

Mine didn't have keyless entry. I fitted an aftermarket alarm to it which had the keyless entry module with it

Autostarters are horrible for gas mileage.

My cars start pumping heat 5 minutes from my house (yay for a highway commute), so pointless letting it idle for nothing.

Does any1 know if the keyless remote opens the hatch? My 99 Civic's remote doesn't (trunk) and I understand why. But now that should be standard.

Nah it hasn't got a boot release. Think you have to put in a seperate module for that.

Yeah, the hatch is controlled by the central locking, but there is no hatch release in the interior like the CRV.

You'd have to get an aftermarket alarm and hook that up as an accessory

True, but considering where you are from, you're one that would appreciate starting up the car and letting it get nice and toasty inside before jumping in!!

IIRC, there's a button on the outside of the hatch to pop it open. Odds are if you unlock the doors twice, the hatch can then be opened without a key.

Bahh, most days I have to brush snow off the car, scrape the windows, or load up some kids. If If I start the car manually, by the time we are ready to go, there's already some heat.

And I'm Canadian, I can deal with a chilli car, WAY warmer than outside with the windchill that easily lowers the temperature by 10C.

Only Base models have a keyhole in the hatch and front passenger door
I guess that means the keyless entry on the Sport unlocks even the hatch!
