HID's on the fit
Hi, im kind of a noob for the fits and im curious as to the bulb pattern of them. The HID kit off of my EK will plug up as an H4 but for some reason only the high beams work. i have a Hi/Lo kit. Any information is very much appreciated. Thanks in advance

well im not really worried about spending the money and considering i already have a kit its no big deal. A lot of cars that have HID's installed are cars that weren't "meant" to have them.. i believe thats the reason they made aftermarket ones correct? i prefer my HID's over the stock bulbs anyday... just wish i could get them to work right

I think he has the "HID" bulbs from ebay that are just high powered halogens with a blue coating. Chances are if the High Beams aren't working with that then the bulb is messed up, either that or the high power fried the wire to the high beam.

i have an actual kit. Ballast/bulbs etc. and yes that is correct about the halogen high and HID low. and yes i know they are technically "illegal" but so is my limo tint/ license plate cover/ and me rockin no front plate. The area i live in isnt really strict on little things like that... unless you get pulled over then they like to add it on to the tickets or whatever.. Southeast Texas is easy to get away with things.

i have seen a couple types of kits..
the ones where you have to put a hot wire to your battery
or the one like i have.. it plugs into your oem light harness which runs the ballast no hot wire to the battery needed. it just plugs and plays with the oem harness. i know one of the prongs is for the highs and the other is for the lows (i had to rewire one of my old hatches because the harness for the light was damaged during a engine swap) and the top prong i believe is the ground.
the high beams worked when i plugged it up, but the lows didnt click over
(ballast didnt turn on) i tried both ballast with the same result
