My poor wheels!!

Hey all. I came home from Thanksgiving to find my poor Fit Sport sitting on milkcrates!! I had no idea they were in demand. Meaning I didn't have wheel locks.

My suggestions to all: Get wheel locks!!!!!!

Still for the life of me cant see the appeal to these stock wheels! Mine were off in less than a week and replaced with nicer ones!

It seems to be a very common problem with our Fits check this recent thread ---> https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/1st-...es-stolen.html
It seems even wheel locks aren't safe.

wheel locks are are no sure thing... all it will do is slow a thief down... if they REALLY want your wheels... they will get them no matter what you do... on the stock rims i wouldn't spend huge sums on trying to save them.. they aren't THAT in demand... and are relatively cheap... now if u had 24in chrome rims worth several grand... super expensive locks might be in order, but on the Fit a decent set for like 60 bucks should sufficient.

What about the McGard Ultra wheel locks? I have them for my M5 and they have a spinning outer ring that prevents someone from hammering on a socket. A bit expensive, and I can't find a dealer in North America, but they would work a lot better than the standard Honda wheel lock.

yeah, i had wheel locks on my mustang and lost the key. i hammered a socket on the wheels, that did the trick. but, if someone wants the wheels, theyll get them.

That's a good idea, I wonder if the spinning outer ring would prevent thefts? Or atleast drastically deter thieves?

Here's a link but which size/style??? McGard Wheel Locking Lug Nuts - JEGS The McGard site McGard: Innovative Security Products only shows 07-08 fitment, is it the same for the 09's?

Here's two more links but they have less info (cant look up vehicle) McGard - Wheel Locks Parts | Page 1 & Safety & Security - McGard Wheel Locks and Lug Nuts

i would keep a close eye on craigslist, some of these morons post for sale ads on the newly stolen merchandise.

there's a user here on FitFreak that found his stolen wheels for sale on craigslist then went to the seller's house and assaulted the guy
