Differences between GD1, 2, 3, ect.?

I've noticed that the Fit/Jazz have been labled GD1, GD2, GD3, & GD4. What are the differences between them?
They all seem to look the same, but then again I know that looks can be deceiving.
Can anybody break down the differences for me? Thanks

It's the different types of Fit/Jazz available:

GD1 = 1.3L FF
GD2 = 1.3L 4WD
GD3 = 1.5L FF
GD4 = 1.5L 4WD
GD5 = 1.2L FF
GD6 = 1.3L FF (seden)
GD7 = 1.3L 4WD (seden)
GD8 = 1.5L FF (seden)
GD9 = 1.5L 4WD (seden)

Ohh...so it's just the different drive train layouts? I was thinking it was different generations...but they all looked the same.

Thanks for straightening that out for me.

Just note:

GD5 is not widely known in the Jap/US market only in European markets.

The engine size alone is probably the main reason for this as European market tend to have a smaller sized engines.

Some people were hoping the GD5 was a Type-R version, but it isn't. lol.

Not too sure on where the 4WD comes from. Might just be a special edition such as race cars or something. Don't think it's available on the market for consumers.

The 4WD specs are on the Japanese Honda site. The AWD/4WD unit is similar to the CRV where it isn't constant just when loss of traction is detected and there is no manual override. Adds weight and kills fuel economy but I'm sure would be appreciated in places that get snow and ice. Pretty much every Honda car is avail in 4WD guise in Japan.
