College Hill Announcement

I just got an e-mail from College Hill, and found this very interesting:

A 2009 Fit equipped with MUGEN accessories was revealed today along with the announcement that beginning next spring, Honda will make a complete new line of MUGEN accessories available for the 2009 Fit on an a-la-carte basis through authorized Honda dealers. Available MUGEN accessories for the Fit will include: 16-inch alloy wheels, aluminum oil filler cap, front sports grille, front under spoiler, side spoiler, rear under spoiler, sports silencer, rear emblem, quick shifter, shift knob, sports pedals (MT), sports floor mats and a mirror cover. MUGEN, under license by M-TEC Co., Ltd., of Japan, has been closely associated with Honda for decades in the design and manufacture of racing and premium performance components. Further details, including pricing, will be available at a later date.
uncing:

Looks like these parts will be available direct from Honda next spring. About time HONDA - Can You Say MUGEN!!!

I agree - guess I am bias because I love the original body style of the Fit and this Mugen Fit is begging to be dropped but the fact that they are going to actually handle Mugen parts is going to be really a nice option. Yup! Mugen crazy girl here - I don't understand why they did not slam this Fit with the Mugen Window Visors they would really clean up this cars appearance.

As a reluctant new owner of a GE8, mourning the death of my GD3, I will buy the Mugen exhaust when available, unless something even better comes along to beat the availability of the Mugen. But the Mugen exhaust must provide power/torque improvement to justify my purchase.

Yup! The Mugen Civic SI is a beautiful car and I would not mind having one but over $30,000.00 for a Civic is
a little much -

the parts will be available a la carte. some dealers may go the the extent of decking a fit out with all the parts, and that would be expensive, but it wont be its own model the way the si was.

you want floormats and wheels? done.

you want just the grill and exhaust? done.

simple as that.

as far as the rear bumper goes, its the only part i don't really like. it actually does have a functional mugen exhaust, but the cut outs are just that, ...cut outs. kinda lame imo.

but the wheels are gorgeous. like mugen bbs'. they would look awesome on a gd3...especially mine.
