Post your Likes/Dislikes of the NA Fit
Since there's been plenty of grumbling in the section, let's just post our likes and dislike of the North American Fit. Granted, we all haven't seen the car in person yet but only from what we have read from press releases and here. I'm sure to be checking the Fit out at the Philly Auto Show next month so I can have a good impression about the car in person.
Likes:
1. That it's finally here, AMEN.
2. Regardless of what fuel rating it has, it's still fuel efficient enough for me.
3. Timing Chain Driven. At first thought it was timing belt driven, but someone cleared that up.
4. Six airbags as standard equipment. Can't ask for anything more, safety first.
5. It'll bring back the small car fun that Honda gave us back in 1985 with the Si. Econo hatches are back.
Dislikes:
1. No moonroof or sunroof.
2. Rear drums. Would loved to have rear disk, but drums are sufficient enough for an entry level.
3. Not feeling the body color accent to the headlamps on the Sport models.

I'm sure sunroof isn't really essential is it? Since most likely it comes with aircon? I'm a UK Jazz owner and mine doesn't come with a sunroof since I don't think I would use it that much.
Rear drums are actually better in terms of holding the car with handbrake, better than brake discs, but brake discs looks cool.

Ok, here we go!
Likes:
1. 1.5 VTEC solid, economical engine as standard.
2. Magic seats!
3. Interior miles above rivals, and it's black.
4. Body coloured headlamps (like J's Racing Fit).
5. Unoffensive taillights.
6. MP3 hookup.
7. No sunroof (adds weight, decreases rigidity).
8. Very well equipped.
9. I can reasonably afford it.
10. Vivid Blue Pearl.
11. It's a Honda, 1992 Civic has served me very well, as did 1987 Civic.
Dislikes:
1. No real surprises, despite the promises.
1a. No 3dr.
1b. No uprated engine.
1c. No CVT7.
2. Sport body kit is atrocious, Japanese S much nicer.
3. No black projectors, no LED tails.
4. Electronic throttle may cause tuning issues using Japanese parts.
5. No Arctic Blue Pearl.
6. I will miss my Civic.

I agree with most of the posts. As far as the moon/sunroof. I used to love to tilt mine to suck more air through the vents without having to turn on the fan. If the Fit had tilt out rear windows, you could to the same thing. A simple cable actuation sytem could open and close from the driver's seat. My dad's friend had this on his 1982 Datsun.

The only missing element I really have a feel about now is missing side impact trim for the doors - I can't park with naked doors in the city and was hoping Honda would incorperate some sort of color coordinated "bumper" on the sides...

My turn..............
Likes:
1) Reliable Honda Vtec engine
2) Fuel efficiency...31/38 way better than my current car
3) subcompact size = more parking options!
4) cargo capacity w/ magic seats
5) MP3 hook up
6) Large and existing aftermarket for tweaks & upgrades!!!!!
7) Affordable starting price for a brand new car.
8) Lots of standard features - power windows / door locks / A/C / etc.
9) It's a 4 door hatch that actually looks good!!!!
Dislikes:
1) No moon roof!!!!! :-(
2) Tame / boring "sport" body trim
3) Would have prefered side marker in side mirrors.

2007 model with it's improved safety features.
It is nice looking.
Good range of colors.
Good milage (even if it's not the same as the Euro version).
Dislikes:
I wish the sport model had a sportier engine. Perhaps 130-140 HP. This could be achieved via a sportier VTECH, or a turbo or supercharger. I hate "sport" models that don't have the performance!
Anyway, that's my two cents!

I like this post!
Likes:
1) Honda finally brought it over, even if it was forced.
2) Interior is miles ahead of competition in terms of quality and functionality.
3) Great stereo on Sport.
4) I for one like the sport trim pieces.
5) Gas mileage
6) Color selection - making it a hard decision
7) So many standard features!
8) Remind me so much of my 3rd Gen Civic!
Dislikes:
1) No CVT-7, I wanted the choice
2) Drive By Wire Throttle
3) Wish they had kept the weight down a little more
4) Wish it had LED tailights
5) Wish it wasnt getting replaced in a few years

Fit looks great, but...
dislikes:
1 No easy way to install aftermarket stereo
2 No sunroof/moonroof (will it be offered?)
3 No Rear disc brakes
4 I'd like a little more HP, without affecting the MPG.
Otherwise, it looks like my perfect car (unless the US gets the European Civic 5-door).

There are two things I wished the Fit has for the US-market car:
1. The CVT-7 automatic.
2. The turn signals on the side rear mirror housings.
I think #2 could become an option, and I wouldn't be surprised that Honda offers the CVT-7 maybe late this year.
I don't wish for a sunroof, since that adds unnecessary weight to the car and also cuts into headroom, too.

Like:
It's a Honda
It's a 4-dr (5-dr) hatchback
It's sporty
Vtec engine
Cool colors
Nice MPG
Dislikes:
Not available in yellow in the US
Rear discs would have been cool
Not here yet...
Still have to "see" one to get a good feel for it.

4-Door Hatchback by Honda
Small Size
Magic Seats
Analog dashboard display & design
ABS Brakes
Decent Gas Mileage
Low Price
Dislikes:
I wish it had 10 or 20 more HP or was lighter.
I wish the radio antenna was not external.
I wish the side mirrors were build into the front portion the side windows.
I wish it had auto UP windows.
I wish it was not going to be redesigned so soon.
I wish I could have test drove the CVT-7 to see what it was like.

I feel like I'm committing heresy against the church of Honda by participating in this thread, and that I might risk excommunication for saying anything negative against the Fit, but here goes:
Likes:
1. Tons of interior room
2. Interior seats and fabric look sporty
3. Timing chain
4. ABS and EBD
5. Six airbags
6. Air conditioning
7. Power windows and door locks
8. Cruise control (typically not avaiable on other sub-compacts)
9. Tall mode, utility mode, and long mode seating configurations
Dislikes:
1. Wheel wells are too small (makes it look wimpy like Suzuki Aerio - apparently I am the only person that thinks this)
2. Five year old body design
3. Fuel economy
