Snow tires and how they affect mpgs
#21
I stopped reading half way through so excuse me if some one already pointed this out but, winter/snow tires are alot softer compound than all weather or summer tires. This will also have an effect on your mpg. Plus if your roads are rutted at all like ours you will notice you get pulled into the ruts harder with snow tires. In fact, when I set the cruise to 60 mph on the Glenn hiway, I can let go of the steering wheel with winter tires, and my car will follow the center lane for over 5 miles.
