Color Availability
Yesterday I placed my order for a 2009 Sport Fit with a manual transmission. Today I was told by the dealer that my chosen color of Blue Sensation Pearl would not be produced until December 10th. My second choice was Milano Red and I was told that the closest model available was in NY and that would not arrive until early December. I live in Canton, Ohio. I am beginning to wonder if the dealer is just trying to get me to settle for the silver model they have on the lot.
Has anyone had a similar experience or knows that the December 10th deadline for Blue Sensation Pearl is legitimate?

I waited a month for Blue Sensation Navi and while waiting the dealer got a Blackberry Pearl Navi. Went to look at the Blackberry and really liked the color so I bought it. Car looks really sharp with tinted windows!
Bottom line is they might not be pulling your leg. My understanding is they are tooling up to build these in the US and not Japan so there may be a lag period.

There are other Honda dealerships you know. Yours can have one sent to you from another dealership if they really want your business. The above 'super' dealer was getting one SSM Sport ready for delivery the day I was there. They'd traded the BOM Sport they had in stock in order to get it from another dealrship for their customer. If they had been able to meet my local dealer's price, I would have definitely bought the car there instead of where I did.
In other news: I know for a fact that Voss Honda, just North of Dayton has a Vivid Blue Pearl GD3 in stock. Well, they did when I drove by yesterday morning in my big grey bus...

There are 3 showing in your state per Hondas dealer locater. Ganley,Park and Superior Honda all show a Milano Red sport manual in stock. They may be order cars with deposits. but check it out. There are no BSP and the next scheduled builds are late Nov.
Hpoe this helps.

I originally wanted the Sport in Orange Revolution but my dealer couldn't get one. The next shipment they received included a Sport in Blue Sensation Pearl that I picked up on October 14, 2008.
I guess that means that not everybody had to wait until December.
