2009 Fit Sun Shade?

I've had my 2009 Fit Sport for a week and have discovered that none of the sun shades that I own are tall enough to work in the very long Fit windshield.

In Virginia, especially in the the summer, having a shade in the windshield when the car is parked in the sun all day is imperative.

Does anybody know of a sun shade that will work in the 2009 Fit?

Thanks.

I think the Fit requires about a 34" height.

I took the shades from my F-250, turned them sideways, and they're still about 8" too short.

I have one of those sun shades that are circular that you can fold into a smaller circle. I bought the large one, but that didn't fit. I had to return it and get the jumbo one. The GE8 windshield is ginormous.

I had the large size of those circular fold up kind. I've used it on my past 3 cars, lol. At first when I tried it on my Fit it seemed too short. However, I just don't place the base of the visors near the base of the windshield, more towards the middle of the dash top and it fits great.

Get it from the dealer. $25 bucks for one that is tailored for the Fit.

I dont know about those HeatShields... I mean, they only roll to store when you dont need it, and that's gonna be a HUGE roll!

I want the circular ones that fold, theyre great -- but I have never found one this big!

Those circular shades that fold into a small circle are called "magic shades" and so far I think they work fairly good! I bought the large size and turn them both lengthwise...while they dont cover the whole window, I found they certainly take a good 15 or 20 degrees off...going from crawling into unbearable heat to bearable til the AC starts to work.

They're rated good too...problems tend to be in knowing how to use the flick-of-the-wrist to fold back up into a nice 10-12 inch circle...very easy after you learn how to do it! I personally really like this shade. The rear view mirrow helps hold it in place,

In Canada we can buy them at Canadian Tire for 15.00...Napa also sells them..
We have the Auto Expressions Magic Shade brand here...but this one looks the same and has a brief explanation how to fold up!

I'm convinced this brand is a necessity...

Eclipse Sunshade, Car Sun Shade, Auto Windshield Sun Shades, Retractable Sunshade, Self Storing Car Window Sun Shade. Free Shipping & Low Prices on all Eclipse Car & Auto Window Sun Shades

folding/unfolding super large sunshades are just too much trouble and would be used less frequently.

I got the one at the dealership. Fits. Works good.

For me, it's something I rarely need/use, as I don't drive much and I park underground.

Sure does make a difference even on overcast days, if I try to park facing the sun, so that NO sun is going inside. That's when I'm out doing errands.

And I have the Base gray interior. I bet you could heat a home via passive solar collection in the Sport Fit and run air through your parked car while it was outside and you were inside.

New Fit slogan:

"It's not just a car, but it heats your whole home!"

I second spinout's suggestion!
I got mine this morning from the same place for $21.70 OTD.
Luckily I have a colleague @ work who lives in Roseville, CA and just stopped by
Carmichael Honda (the dealer behind http://handa-accessories.com)
and picked it up for me on the way into work this AM.
For 19.99, this is the deal!
