I was recommended eneos but decided to go with royal purple and it's done just fine. Won't say FE went up or anything cause the only way I believe you'll notice a difference is from like gear lube to standard(0-40w oils) lol. granted your engine prolly won't turn over unless it's really warm with gear lube, and prolly won't run to long being it's to thick for the galley's

there is a big myth about how low rpm's makes a car more fuel efficient. the gasoline engine is more efficient under full vacuum. theoretically the best gas mileage you can get is hitting the cars sweet spot which is in between the torque and horspower curve. i think with the fit manual it is around 3100 to 3300 rpm which is just before the vtec begins to kick in.

i just did my oil change today with eneos oil i chose this oil cause its about the same price as royal purple and its totally jdm yo! lol. my friends shop said they got better gas miles in a 350z with it so i was like oh okay whatever.
i also put a project kics magnetic drain plug to get those nasty metal particals out so my motor will run cherry brah.
i'll post mpg on the next full tank.

I have Castrol Syntec 5W-20 in my MT, I get around 30-31 MPG in 100% city driving. My fiance's AT was using Mobil 1 5W-20 and got around 31-32 MPG with mixed 50/50 hwy/city.
I just changed the oil in her AT to Mobil 1 0W-20. After 1 tank, the MPG didn't change, but I will check after a few more tanks to see the average.

I just bought 4 qts ($6.99/qt at AutoZone) for my next oil change to see if it makes a difference. Don't think I'd use it though during the 90-100 degree days here in the deep South.
I went from avg 37-38 mpg to 34-35 after I changed from the OEM Dunlops to sticky Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sports. Wanted to see if the oil would make a difference as claimed.

Looks like 1 mpg better or even slightly more. Worth it? I dunno the Mobil 1 0W-20 is very expensive. Pennzoil Platinum may be a better deal overall.
