My theory is that there are 2 populations of Fit owner:
The FitFreaks - maybe 75% male, 25% female.
The ordinary folks who bought the car for economy - maybe 55% female, 45% male.
The FitFreaks are the tuners, whether male or female. We spend beaucoup bucks in the auto store on detailing stuff. We put stickers on the window. We mod the car in quirky ways, and we park in the back 40 of any lot so we don't get dinged. We honk and wave at other Fit owners, hoping to see another Freak! We buy personal plates to proclaim our love for our model of car.
The rest of the Fit owners bought the car strictly for the economy. They don't care what the car looks like, really, it's just a means to an end. They might enjoy driving it but they would never spend time on a forum dedicated to discussing the Fit.
I'm proud to be one of the few FitFreak Females!!!
