Depends really.

for my car, if it can be eaten outside, then that's where it will be eaten.

if we are driving, and can only stop to grab food, the drive being more important, I would allow the food to be eaten in the car.

I ate breakfast burritos from McDonalds, cause I needed some sort of food and was late for work.

I can't work without food.

and the other thing is, if it's in a bag, it's safer.

It's all about the situation.. similar to sex... >.>

it's all situational. (at least for me it is)

I make my friends hold the damn food and not eat a bite until we get to wherever we're hanging out.

I have a strict rule about food in my car.

Other than the driver, any form of food or beverage is not to be open or consumed in the car or within 10ft around the car. Depending on the packaging, some types of spill-able food such as soup, curry, goulash, etc. will be denied entry to the vehicle. Drinks with a separate cover, such as those from fast food restaurants are strictly prohibited and are not allowed in the vehicle. Failure to comply will result in ejection of the food or beverage, passenger(s) or both.

...bitches

warning to others

never let your friend buy starbucks and put it into the cupholders in the back and prove your fit can handle really well on corners

1 year later, stain still there imbedded in the speaker cover

I'm with Wuze.

Spills happen fast. Stains are a bitch, and some of them will still be there when we are dust, no matter how we try to remove them.

Try to get a red Kool-Aid stain out of anything.

I made an exception last week, driving home from the gulf. The roads were packed with evacuees from LA and MS so the sweet girl and I ate some crackers on the road.

Beer is OK, too, of course.

this car doesn't really smell like a new car to me. every other new car i have been in has been american. i think they make a point to put all those chemicals in the upolstery in american cars and it just makes me sick. my car just smells like rubber and plastic.. haha which is pretty good

i'm with cuteboi, it depends on the situation and some times the person. i never spill or drop food.

eh, not allowed unless in a bag and wait til we get somewhere. Drinks are okay if it has a lid/cap. I didn't put my jdm console in yet so if condensation gets in the cupholder I don't give a shit lol

i eat in all my vehicles. dont have time to eat always. taco bell is easiest to eat in a car without mess. seriously tho, its just a fit, not a ferrari. I have all weather mats, a couple shop vacs, and tons of detailing stuff. Like I'm gonna be worried about dropping something on the trunk quality carpeting in the fit. The interior of the fit is very cheap feeling. Even in my accord with mugen embroidered torinos i eat, or the 57 chevy, or my old school datsun. You can always clean up food.

I can eat in the Fit, my gf can eat in the Fit. Friends that know how nuts I am about the Fit can eat as well.

Smoking is totally out, I used to smoke, quit last March never smoked in the Fit. I saw what it did to my last car, blech. Drinks...well, I don't eat fast food so any/all drinks are fairly well contained.

Yup, I'm a prick about my car. I'm the captain, don't like it...walk.

Food was never the problem. It's the tards that aren't being careful while they eat and end up spilling things. That being said, my friends are well trained to not spill anything. If they do, they owe me dinner or a car wash, simple.

my friends know that if they want to eat during a road-trip, we don't take my Fit. i do, however, compromise with them. if we take my Fit, food and drink are only consumed OUTSIDE my car. then, they're required to wash their hands before re-entering

i only ask what i practice in turn; i don't eat or drink in their cars, they don't in mine

I don't even think I made it to 500 miles... I always pack snacks for my drive to work (100 miles or so).

I'm the owner - I get to do it

but NO ONE else can!!! I go through McD's drive-through about once a week and get a hot and spicy and a diet coke. That's it, and I eat it while I'm driving. See why I didn't want manual? jk

No one is ever with me when I go on these clandestine McD's runs. And no one is opening a coke or anything in my car. Fuggeddaboutit....
