Somebody left the gate open!
Me too! I fell in love with the car the first time I drove it, and it wasn't just the promised 32 mpg (which I am NOT getting anywhere near) and cheap price. When I finally saw the BBP here on this forum, I knew I'd found my car.
And when I need to find other people who share my taste in whatever, I go to the 'net. Sure enough, I found this forum with tons of people who also love their Fits!
But so far, no one has waved at me, nor honked, nor thumbs-up or anything. They just look like they have somewhere to get, and are going about their lives. Maybe it's a tad pathetic to be waving at other Fits now that there are bound to be more of them on the road? ALthough I am still waiting for that flood to happen...have only seen 1 '09 since they got here.

All have been 2008s and I pass most of them (I swear I don't drive fast either!). Interestingly enough, I have not seen even 1 '09 on the road as of yet. Weird. Really cool seeing so many FITS frolicking though!

Yes, I am seeing more every day, including one '09 so far. Yesterday I saw about 8 Fits total. I like the Tidewater Blue in person better than the virtual one. Still wish I had bought a white one, though. They are sick, sick, sick.

Today:
1 NHBP Sport - some stuck-up beyotch who wouldn't wave!
1 MR Sport that lives down the block - a nice girl who DID wave, after I did! She also saw my Fit brake light and looked like she was going to ask me where to buy one...but she had to go cause the light went green.

Saw my first 2009 today!
In action...heading straight for me...one block from my home...there it was...(thought it is was a Ford at first)...but no...it was a 2009 Blue Fit! My immediate thought was "boring" - the new Fit has lost its uniqueness. It came upon me and almost passed before I realized it was a Fit.
Other sightings today included 3 07-08 models. I am so in love with my Fit!

i also saw my first '09 today..
i usually see one or less a day.. but today i saw 3 gd3's and a ge8! it was my kind of day for sure. unfortunately none of them were modded and they were all driven by silver hairs.. lol
btw: GD3>GE8 .. the '09 was hideous..

Well, you ARE in Key West...FL! Lots of grannies and grampys out there...I guess the Fit is one or two steps up from the golf cart! 
I HAVE to go to the dealer tomorrow to settle this GE8 thing for myself!! I hate the exterior in photos and can't imagine how it would change in person...it still looks like 2 cars welded together to me...or a car and a mini-van...ick...

For the first year I had my Fit (June 07-June08) I saw no more than 8-10 Fits in TOTAL for a whole year!!
In the past couple of weeks, I saw nearly that many.
But today none.
Oh wait, saw ONE 09 on the dealer lot. Gotta check it out up close!

Nah, my shrink already knows I'm really weird. lol
But in actuality, I see at least one other Fit on the road every day. Either a girly girl is driving, or a senior citizen is.
But I also drive by a Honda dealership everyday on my way to work. I see a slow cycle of at least two GE8 Fits, side by side everyday, in different colors.

Juliane, if you're ever driving around in the Heights... don't be offended if the new owner of an Orange Revolution Fit doesn't wave at you (she.. erm, I, am pretty oblivious).

Congratulations on your new car! I have seen just one '09, another BBP, on Beltway 8 and Briar Forest. I saw an orange Fit yesterday but pretty sure it was an '08 - it was on Westheimer and Fondren about 2:00 p.m. I don't think the '09 Fits are flying off the lots the way the '08s were just 2 mos. ago...
I am almost never in the Heights, but I *always* try to wave or give a thumbs-up at any Fit I see, so if you see a blonde chick waving at you, that's me!
What dealer did you buy from, out of curiosity?
