gahhhh

so im driving down the 15 coming back from school and i see a black piece of material right in the middle of the lane. tried to get outta the way but i managed to hit it (lol speeding) and cracked my oil pan and took out something to do with my radiator (radiator fluid all leaked out)....shouldnt have lowered my fit

now im stuck driving my friend's odyssey....friggin boat

car's at the dealer, insurance will cover it....and my money saved for my wheels is going for the premium...

my baby has officially lost it's virginity

so moral of the story...dont hit stuff onthe road cuz fits aren't designed to be monster-truck-like and run over anything...

now...back to my alcohol...i need to drink this one off

Man that really sucks! Good thing you have insurance- I hope your Fit will be good as new before you know it.

EEEEEouch....sorry for your poor wounded baby...WTF was that on the road??? To take out the oil pan?? I hope the person who dropped it off his truck or whatever gets bad karma for leaving the thing in the road...What if someone swerved suddenly and caused an accident? Or what if YOU had swerved into another car? You might not be here. Better your oil pan got cracked than your head!

Moral of the story: DON'T SPEED on the 15!! And you might have more time to get away from random nasty black metal crap on the road.

Ouch sorry about your car man. Had a similar thing happen to me years back in my Integra. I ran over what I think was a fire extinguisher. Took out the water pump and put a leak in the oil. Only reason I think it was an extinguisher was because it was the shape of one and it left red marks under the car.

The other day I was driving to work on a two lane road with no shoulders to move. There was this huge dead racoon in the middle of the lane. I had to get into the oncoming traffic lane just to go around it. That thing would have done some damage underneath my car.

I just found out that our doctor is getting a partner and he will be relocating the office to a 40 minute commute which will require some interstate travel. I have loved the short 5 minute communte on a nice quiet two lane. Will have to watch out for flying rocks, junk on the road and faster cars! Of course the only positive is spending more time in the Fit!
